Father / Daugther Sock Hop

Katie and Byron went to their 1st Father / Daughter dance. It was a 50's Sock Hop theme dance put on through Girl Scouts. Katie wanted to poodle skirt, so I sewed sequins and a poodle on an outfit she had in the closet. Byron used Richie Cunningham as a model for his costume that evening. He didn't want to dress like Fonzie - afterall would you want your daughter on a date with Richie or Fonzie?! Whoops - I think he mislooked the fact that TKE's weren't know for their studious behavior.
They do look darling though!

PRE- Christmas 07

Katie had a music program at school that she dressed up for. This year, Grandma and Grandpa were NOT in Arizonia. Katie was excited that they could come and watch her sing. I love this picture of Katie with her Grandma Mary.

As December went on, the tree finally was selected, put up and decorated, as well as, presents wrapped and put under the tree. Katie, in her pink dress, was delighted with the beauty of all that glitters during this holiday time!
